On Saturday, March 3rd, our council will host the 13th Annual Sporting Clays and Fun Shoot at Camp Alaflo in New Brockton, Alabama.  As America's fastest growing shooting sport, sporting clays has been called "golf with a gun." Competitors move from station to station through the Boy Scout Camp along a challenging course designed and managed by a leader in the industry, Howell Shooting Supplies.  At each station, targets are thrown mimicking hunting presentations. A shooter may encounter flushing "quail", high overhead "dove," bounding "rabbits," or the always challenging "springing teal" (straight up).

Sponsors, shooters and their spouses are invited to participate in the Shoot Reception & Auction on Friday, March 2nd at 6pm. Solomon Chevrolet & Cadillac, our event sponsor, will host the reception on their show room floor, 4886 Montgomery Highway, Dothan.  Guests will enjoy dinner catered by Pepi Foods and an auction featuring guided hunts, guns, outdoor equipment plus other great items.  Proceeds will benefit the Boy Scouts of America in lower Alabama and north Florida.

 

Sponsorships levels begin at $500 and includes 4 team members.  We are also seeking auction items and door prize donations.  Unit leaders, please share with your parents!
