The

Distinguished Service Award


The Distinguished Service Award (DSA) was created in 1940 to honor those who rendered service to the Order beyond the lodge level. The award is presented to those Arrowmen who have rendered distinguished and outstanding service to the Order on a sectional, regional, or national basis. The award is presented at each NOAC (held approximately every two years).  It is given primarily for dedicated service to the Order and Scouting over a period of years.  Presentation of the DSA is limited.  Arrowmen whose service records are the most outstanding and extend farthest beyond others in the local lodge are usually selected.  Nominations are open to both youth and adult Arrowmen.
